What will you say to Him when He ask's why should I let you into Heaven?
This is a question that I've heard preachers ask from the pulpit but why do they pose such a question?
THE GOSPEL

That day of judgement is one that we should have, continually, at the forefront of our minds. What is it that is being judged and how do we ensure that we will be able to stand before Him on that day? No where in scripture is there a scenario of a man standing before the judgement seat of Christ and being asked "Why should I let you into Heaven" nor is there a subsequent answer to that question. So why is this question posed? It's asked to lead the person into a corner, that corner being them having to justify themselves. Once that person does justify themselves they pounce with the pre-scripted response. A response that completely contradicts the doctrine of Christ. The exchange is intended to go something like this:
Preacher: "What will you say when Christ asks you "Why should I let you into heaven?"
Answer: "Well I'm a good person and I've never killed anybody."
Preacher "The bible say's there is none good, no not one, and that your works can't save you. It is only through Faith in Christ alone absent of any works on your part that you can be saved. Repeat this prayer after me....".
I've always found it interesting that they will say it's not of works and then tell the person that they have to say the sinners prayer.
The Master does give descriptions of what will happen on that day and He gives these in order to teach His doctrine which is the only one that should matter to us. Look at the description He gives us below.
Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth MY WORD, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of Elohim: and they that hear shall live.
Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY JUDGEMENT IS JUST; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Why don't they show the person these Words from the Gospel instead of fabricating a scenario? Well it's because the doctrine that is being pushed is completely contrary to what He testified will happen. Notice that His Word is tied directly to salvation in that a person must Hear (akouō also means to understand) His Word and believe on Him that sent Him. He then goes on, in verse 29, to say that those that have done good will be part of the resurrection of life and those that have done evil will be part of the resurrection unto damnation. He makes a similar statement in the Gospel according to Mathew.
Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward EVERY MAN according to his works.
We will all be judged according to our works. Those that have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of damnation. He goes on with another description of how people will be judged.
Joh 12:47 And if any man hear MY WORDS, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not MY WORDS, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKE, THE SAME WILL JUDGE HIM ON THE LAST DAY.
Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
He himself said that He will not judge any man because the Word that He has spoken will be the one to judge on that day. Notice that it is those that hear His Words and do not believe them, but rather reject them that will be judged by them. His commandment is Life Everlasting for those that Hear, Understand and Obey them. Just as stated in the Law.
Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Notice the similar language in the Law and and that which Yahshua spoke in John 12:48-50.
For those that need to hear it from Paul we have the below verse.
Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Elohim;
Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Rom 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Rom 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
This can be a hard reality to digest, at first, because it's so much easier to want to believe the lie but part of that lie is the insertion of the word Hell throughout the scriptures, a word that the Catholic Church was more than happy to provide a definition for. We have to remember that Yahweh is Love and He is more merciful than man.
Psa 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so Yahweh pitieth them that fear him.
Psa 103:14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Yahshua did not come to remove the fear of Yahweh, He came to testify of the Truth and those that are of the Truth Hear His Voice.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy (Put to death) both soul and body in hell (Gehennah).
Mat 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Mat 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Mat 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
