Sola Scriptura?

Is Sola Scriptura really what it claims to be?

THE GOSPELTHE LAW

How does one know when something is a lie? The short answer is simply when the thing said is not true. The most powerful lies are the subtle ones that mask themselves with claims of being or believing one thing while actually standing for and believing things that are completely contrary to the thing they profess to hold true.
"Sola Scriptura" is Latin for "Scripture Alone" and it's more than just a term, it's a claim that asserts that the Bible is the sole and ultimate authority in all matters pertaining to faith, doctrine and practice. The claim itself is a great one if it is true but when it's not true the results can and will be disastrous for those deceived into believing the false claim. When you look at what is actually taught by the majority of institutions that make the claim of being "Sola Scriptura" you begin to see the blatant incongruencies . Many of their doctrines actually come from what they refer to as "their church fathers" and interestingly enough when defending these doctrines they tend to veer off into quoting these men while completely contradicting what Yahweh has spoken through His prophets.
An overwhelming majority of books of the Bible are held in very low regard, and are said to be "done away with" in most religious organizations. They tend to only teach from these scriptures when, oddly enough, preaching against them or claiming the promises held in them for themselves. These promises are for those that obey the Law or those that will turn back to obeying the Law. To hear someone make the claim that they believe that the Bible is true and that it is the ultimate authority one might assume that they believe every word that came out of the mouth of Yahweh. This assumption, sadly, would be very false. In actuality they only believe in what they call "The Old Testament Scriptures" in a historical sense in that they are record of historical events. By extension, neither can they believe the Words of Christ or follow the path that He walked seeing that He taught obedience to the Law and the Prophets and walked in perfect obedience to them. If one subtracts the Law and the Prophets and Yahshua's Words from the scriptures, what are you left with? You're certainly not left with "Sola Scriptura" and in actuality you're only left with the epistles and even then a good portion of the epistles have to be ignored or completely twisted in order to make them fit into their theology. Paul wrote the following to Timothy.

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee WISE UNTO SALVATION through faith which is in Yahshua the Messiah.
2Ti 3:16 ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of Elohim, and is profitable for DOCTRINE for reproof, for correction, for INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of Elohim may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

In Paul's writings to Timothy he referenced the Holy Scriptures that Timothy had known since he was a child. What scriptures is Paul talking about specifically? He's talking about the the only books of the Bible that existed when Timothy was a child and when Paul wrote this letter. Paul makes a very clear statement when he say's that ALL SCRIPTURE is profitable for Doctrine (instruction, learning, teaching). He also say's it's profitable for reproof (Proof, Evidence, Conviction), CORRECTION and INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. This does not coincide with the doctrines held by most that claim "Sola Scriptura". If a person that knows the Truth goes to one that does not and tries to correct them with a passage from any of the scriptures that Paul calls profitable, they will be quickly met with a "Yeah but that's the Old Testament" or "that doesn't apply to me". Paul's statements on the Law and the Prophets are in complete agreement with The Gospel that Christ taught and the Path that He walked as shown in the passages below.
Mat 5:17 THINK NOT that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall IN NO WISE pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall DO and TEACH them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, YE SHALL IN NO CASE ENTER into the kingdom of heaven.
Look at what Paul is saying in light of the Words of Eternal Life. The Law and the prophets are good for doctrine (Teaching) just as commanded in Mat 5:19. They are profitable for instruction in righteousness as spoken in Mat 5:19 and 20 and profitable for correction just as Yahshua is correcting those that would come to teach the lie that He came to do away with the Law and the Prophets. Paul also makes the clear statement that the Law and the prophets are able to make one wise unto salvation through faith in Yahshua the Messiah as shown in Mat 5:20 and the parable of Lazarus and the Rich man.
Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Luk 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
Luk 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may TESTIFY UNTO THEM, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have MOSES AND THE PROPHETS; let them hear them.
Luk 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they HEAR NOT MOSES AND THE PROPHETS, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Interestingly enough One did rise from the dead and we see today that those that refuse to hear the Law and the Prophets also refuse to hear him. He taught the true Sola Scriptura and He taught it from the Law of Moses.
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of Elohim.
Both the Law of Moses and the Law of Christ teach that man shall live by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh's mouth. The reality is that there are many words spoken in the bible. Some are a narrative of events that took place, some are just words spoken by ordinary men like the discourse between Job and his friends. Other words are from false prophets or even Satan himself, but it's the words of Yahweh spoken through His Holy Prophets that is being referenced in Mat 4:4 and Deuteronomy.
Deu 8:1 All the commandments which I command thee this day SHALL YE OBSERVE AND DO, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh sware unto your fathers.
Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which Yahweh thy Elohim led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of Yahweh doth man live.
It's interesting that Satan is called the father of lies and is likened to a serpent which are known for having forked tongues. Making the claim and believing that one is "Sola Scriptura" while openly rejecting well over 80% of the Bible, including the Words of Christ Himself, is to speak out of both side of ones mouth. This is an obvious truth. That said, I understand how deep the deception goes because I was once a part of it.
Imagine a "church" that claims to believe in Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura)while rejecting 80% of the bible. Imagine a "church" claiming faith in Christ Alone while rejecting the Word that Christ was anointed to preach and the example that He left for His sheep to follow. Now imagine that "church" and its members claiming to be saved by Faith Alone. Taking into consideration what it is that is believed can this type of faith save a person? Is that the way we think we can enter in?
Joh 10:9 I AM THE DOOR: BY ME if any man enter in, HE SHALL BE SAVED, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for TO STEAL, and TO KILL, and TO DESTROY: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

There is only one way to be set free from this and all lies.
Joh 8:31 Then said Yahshua to those Jews which believed on him, IF ye continue in MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free.
